Victoria Golf & Country Resort

The par-73 course at Victoria Golf & Country Resort is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Sri Lanka. The 18-hole championship course was deigned by the award winning Donald Steele & Co and offers lush views of Sri Lanka’s pristine nature far away from the bustling crowds. Even if you’re not a golfer, the beautiful scenery and relaxing ambiance make visiting Victoria Golf & Country Resort worth the trip.

Shangri La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa

The Shangri La boasts the first and only resort golf course in Sri Lanka. The 18-hole course is divided into three scenic zones offering views of the surrounding lakes and the Indian Ocean. The par 70-course was designed by Rodney Wright following environmentally sustainable methods. After a game of golf, enjoy a stint at the resort’s fabulous spa which is one of the best in Sri Lanka.

Eagle’s Golf Links

Eagle’s Golf Links is located on Sri Lanka’s east coast. The 18-hole par-72 course offers a bit of a challenge and might be better suited to experienced golfers than absolute beginners. The beautiful course offers views of the Clappenberg Bay and Malay Cove. Eagle’s Golf Links works for a good cause helping service personnel settle back into civilian life after retiring and also donates part of their proceeds to Sri Lanka Ari Force personnel and their families.

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club offers a grand taste of Sri Lanka’s colonial past – the club was first founded way back in 1889. The club offers a par-71, 18-hole course and welcomes beginners and seasoned golfers alike. There’s a pro shop on the club premises and clubs, shoes and balls may also be rented out.

Royal Colombo Golf Club

Originally founded in 1880, Royal Colombo Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Sri Lanka. The golf course is located in the capital of Colombo and features an 18-hole course and offers separate areas for practicing your swing. You can feel the rich history of the club throughout and enjoying a cocktail at the Guvnors Bar in the Club House is an absolute must. This is undoubtedly one of the most atmospheric golf courses in Sri Lanka.
