Ratnapura International Gem and Jewellery Show – 30, 31 March and 1 April 2024

We wish to inform that the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) of Sri Lanka,
in collaboration with the Ministry of Industries, Gem Traders, and Miners Associations is
scheduled to host “The Ratnapura International Gem and Jewellery Show – 2024” in the
heart of the gem-rich haven known as the “City of Gems”, RATNAPURA. This city has
long been revered for its abundance of precious gemstones, including the illustrious
Sapphires of the Corundum Family.
This grand event is scheduled to take place from 30 th March to 1 st April 2024 at the
opulent Hotel Grand Silver Ray. This event provides a unique opportunity for foreign
buyers to explore a myriad of gemstones, from the traditional to the rare and unique
specimens, solidifying Ratnapura’s position on the global gemstone map.
Beyond its gemstone treasures, Ratnapura boasts a rich tapestry of gem-related
industries, including gem cutting, colour enhancement, jewellery designing, and
manufacturing. This exhibition is also a tourist attraction, offering visitors a glimpse into
the artistry and craftsmanship that defines Ratnapura.
This exhibition serves as a meeting center for both local and foreign buyers, fostering
connections and collaborations. Moreover, the government endorsement of gem
purchases instils confidence among buyers, making it a win-win situation for all.
The first edition of the International Gem Exhibition promises a high-profile and
exclusive experience, featuring:

    enhancement.
