Embassy participated at the tea tasting event

Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kuwait participated at the tea-tasting event organized by the Abdullah Al-Salem Suburb Health City named “Hadith Al-Dahiya” program on the occasion of the “International Tea Day” held on 13 th December 2022 at the Dehiyat Abdulla Al Salem Health City, Kuwait. Together with the Members of Dehiyat Abdulla Al Salem Health City, the Embassy organized a Sri Lanka’s pavillian to showcase the country’s tea culture and the types of tea for tasting by the attendees. Ceylon tea brands Dilmah, Black tea, green tea, and the region’s tea were served to the visitors with Sri Lankan foods. Hundreds of visitors enjoyed sampling various Sri Lankan tea and traditional dishes and desserts. Mayer of Dahiya city Faisal Al-Wegaian inaugurated the event with the health city General Manager Sheikha Aneesa Al Sabah, a social activist and coordinator Dr. Eman Abahussain. The Suburb Tea event was attended with the participation of embassies, government institutions, private sector institutions, civil society, and academic centers in a cultural entitlement and presented the tea culture and the types of tea for tasting by the attendees. An appreciation award was presented to the participating institutions and individuals.
