Embassy in Kuwait Celebrates Christmas with the Sri Lankan Community

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kuwait together with the Sri Lankan community in Kuwait celebrated Christmas on 22 December 2022 at the Embassy premises, with the spirit of unity and harmony marking the festivities. The Ambassador and the Embassy staff along with community members belonging to all faiths and ethnicities participated in the event.
Rev. Fr. Ivan Perera delivered his Christmas message, emphasizing the relevance of Christmas and stated that love and compassion are important in achieving real and lasting peace in the world. He bestowed his blessings upon all Sri Lankans for a happy and prosperous year ahead.
The event had performances by students of the Muthu Hansa Dancing Academy depicting the birth of Jesus Christ and carols sung by Sri Lankan migrant workers and their children, making the atmosphere truly festive. The arrival of Santa Claus laden with gifts for children was the highlight of the evening. The guests were also treated to a sumptuous Christmas dinner.
